This stainless grade – “the edge steel” – was originally  developed for the production of razor blades, but is also used for scalpel blades and knives. High sharpness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance

Heat treatment:

Hardening temperature 1025C - (1080C after -70C deep freezing)

Tempering time 30 minutes

100C/212F - HRC 63 - (65)

200C/392F - HRC 60 - (62)

300C/572F - HRC 57 - (58)
