1. Put some tape on the blade to protect it. Plan out all the

2. Draw a modell of the handle, from above and side, on a piece of
stiff paper. Transfer the modell on the wooden block.

length: 85-115mm width (middle): 25mm width (front): 16mm

3. Drill (drill size 3mm) three holes into the wooden block. Use holesaw
and rasp to get a rectangular hole. The hole in the frontier part
of the handle is most important.

4. When the blade fits the handle then glue with epoxy adhesive. Press hard with
fixture or screw clamp.

5. Saw close to the marks on the wooden block with a bandsaw or a scroll saw.
Start from above and then saw from the side. Use a rasp to form the handle in
rough outline. Don`t press too hard, you may break the blade.

6. Make the last grind and forming by hand or use the qvickroll
with grain size, for example, 80-180-500-1000.

7. The finish can be made in several ways. Start with moistening the handle in
bets and let it dry. Grind the fibres that rises. Repeat several times.

Alternative1: varnish-terpentin (50%-50%) about 1/2 hour, let it temper several days.

Alternative2: Danish Oil thin coat several times, tempers fast. Gives a beautiful finish.

Alternative3: Use CCL Knife Handle Oil according to
instructions. Includes both oils and grain filler. The experts choice.
